Lanzarote, in the warm Canary Islands, is the ideal all year round destination for naturists. The Canary Islands have a climate of "Eternal Spring", a maritime climate, moderated by the sea. The average air temperature ranges from 16º (January to March) to 22º (July to September). The average water temperature varies from 18º (January and February) to 23º (July to October). The sky is seldom completely free of cloud but rainfall is less than one fifth that experienced in Europe. This means that in winter one can expect something like a fine summer day in England. And in summer although near the tropics, the effect of the ocean and the low humidity, produces a very pleasant climate indeed.
Castillo de Papagayo in the North East of Lanzarote is the only dedicated naturist resort in the Canary Islands. It was developed in the 1970s by German naturists. Now there are about 300 houses, a small shopping centre, four restaurants, and several bars. We deal with one of the original German families to access the best appointed accommodation in the resort: this ranges from one-bedroomed apartments, through a variety of two bedroomed bungalows, to some three bedroomed mansions.
There are also five textile hotels in Lanzarote which have a dedicated naturist area. These may suit those who would like a stylish textile hotel holiday, but with some opportunity to sunbathe nude in the hotel, and of course visit the several naturist beaches around the island. We will arrange your flight from the most convenient airport for you (acting as a retail agent for various ATOL holders), car hire and accommodation for you, as well as giving you our guide to all the naturist beaches of the island. Most flights to Lanzarote operate on Thursdays but there are flights from some airports on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. Although most people go to Lanzarote for winter sunshine, due to it's equable climate, it as an excellent all year round destination.
