Ramsau am Dachstein

The Ramsau area is one of the most popular Austrian winter sports areas offering both cross country and down hill skiing, and also sledging and snow-boarding. In the summer one can still ski high up near the Dachstein glaciers, but it is also a delightful area for mountain walking. Guided mountain walking, river rafting and cross country skiing are all offered by the proprietor and his family. The Ramsau plateau is about 4,000 feet above sea level and the mountains rise to 9,800 feet. It is one of Austria's most popular centres for mountain holidays, with a full range of tourist attractions. In the summer you can follow the extensive network of well marked mountain walks and also ski on the high Dachstein mountains. In winter you can enjoy the full range of snow sports, but the area is especially famous for long distance skiing.
Chalfont Holidays will organise everything for you including a hire car for the whole holiday. This will enable you to tour the area, if you are able to drag yourself away from the mountains of Ramsau, visiting perhaps Mozart's city, Salzburg, or Werfen Castle, or even going South into Italy. It is also not too far from Graz, the European Capital City of Culture for 2003. Austria is full of pretty villages and beautiful old cities. We are confident that any naturists who love the mountains will greatly enjoy this naturist mountain holiday.
