The Médano Hotel
El Médano

Humming Bird

The Médano Hotel is a three star textile hotel ideally situated for the La Tejita naturist beaches. El Médano was the nearest village to La Jaquita, the popular naturist centre which closed a few years ago, and since then several of our customers have enjoyed staying at this small hotel to visit the same region and enjoy the same naturist beaches.

The 3 star El Médano Hotel in the quiet village of Médano has no naturist facilities but it has a beautiful beach front location. The Montaña Roja promontory has a number of naturist beaches, including Tenerife's best known naturist beach, La Tejita. The first of the areas frequented by naturists begins a few hundred yards from the hotel. Here are some statistics on the hotel:

Useful Information
Near El Médano, there are also other beaches where you can soak up the sun in total peace without being surrounded by crowds of people. The beach at ‘La Tejita’ is one of the few, genuinely natural beaches on the island, scarcely visited by tourists at all, as it lies within the natural shelter of ‘Montaña Roja’ (the red mountain). If you fancy going shopping, there are small shops which sell all sorts of things, including gifts. In the village itself, there are many typical, Canary-style restaurants which specialise in meat and fish dishes, as well as a variety of international restaurants, each with their own cuisine. In the early evening, you can stroll down to the bars and terraces which line the sea front, and while away the hours chatting with friends, over a glass of sangria or a good bottle of canary wine. The hotel lies within the borough of Granadilla de Abona, at a mere 8km from the south airport (Reina Sofia), 100km from the north airport (Los Rodeos), 65km from Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 20km from the beaches at Los Cristianos and Las Americas. Accommodation at the El Médano is offered on a half board basis.
