Vassaliki Naturist Club is a new naturist centre in Kefalonia which opened in May 2007. We greatly enjoyed our visit to the Vassaliki Naturist Club in April 2007, just before the official opening, and another short visit in May 2010. The apartments are even more impressive than their pictures convey. Kefalonia is such an unspoilt island, with only a small amount of tourist development. When we saw it, it was so full of spring flowers and wonderful scents. Mark and Samantha are great hosts, and our customers have all greatly enjoyed this stunning resort which comprises of twelve apartments built and finished to highest of standards. Most rooms have a balcony or terrace with sea and pool views, and which catch the morning sun. The rooms are all fitted with air conditioning and all have well appointed kitchens, shower rooms and living space.

The swimming pool is surrounded by a wide grass sun-bathing area with wicker sun beds and umbrellas to give the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean sun. Vassaliki also has a boule court. Everything is immaculate, and improvements have been made every year.

There is a weekly barbecue evening which is a great way to meet new people and to enjoy a freshly cooked barbecue with home made salads as well as a local greek dessert. There is even free wine included to kick the evening off!

There is also a weekly meze evening. After a short walk to one of the local tavernas, a selection of greek dishes will be served along with some local wine and beer. The plan is to eat and drink until the money runs out!

Also there is the possibility of having a massage. Vassaliki's masseuse Mary, will visit on a regular basis to offer a range of holistic and Indian head massage. She has a range of modern techniques for those who require complete relaxation. You can enjoy this relaxing experience outside with nature or in the privacy of your own apartment.

The accommodation is situated a short distance from Avithos/Klismata beach which has a large area used by naturists. This can be reached by driving for about 10 minutes to Avithos, and then walking past the textile beach to the naturist area. Alternatively, for the fit and agile only, it is about one hour's walk along beautiful country tracks from Vassaliki, but there has been a cliff fall so there are some rocks to scramble over before reaching the naturist beach. The accommodation is offered on a self catering basis, but there is a pool side bar and dining area where breakfast and lunch are served, and which can also offer you a range of alcoholic and soft drinks, hot and cold bar snacks, and ice creams throughout the day.

The Vassaliki Naturist Club is 15 minutes drive from Kefalonia airport and also 15 minutes drive away from Argostoli, a port town and the capital of the island, which has a good variety of supermarkets and shops along with a large choice of restaurants and bars. The nearest village, Spartia, with a shop and a taverna is a short drive or 20 minutes walk away.

Chalfont Holidays will offer you a complete holiday package with flights from your most convenient airport, hire car from Kefalonia Airport for your stay, holiday insurance and self catering accommodation at Vassaliki Naturist Club. You can choose between a studio, a double room, or a family apartment. Flights are available on Sundays and Tuesdays from Gatwick and Manchester, but also there are some flights from Luton, Stansted, Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff. All our holidays are tailor made to your requirements and we will prepare a personal quotation for you when you tell us your requirements. All holidays are safeguarded both by our ATOL licence and TTA membership.
