Most people who have been on a naturist holiday will think the answer is obvious and would not want to go on a non-naturist holiday. They would say people were so open, it was so easy to make new friends, and in general, they found naturists to be such nice people.

If you have not been on a naturist holiday before maybe you have always had a, perhaps secret, yearning to do things naked: like sunbathing naked in a secluded spot in your garden or doing the housework naked with the blinds drawn! If that sounds like you, you will find the real experience of being naked in public even more delightful. There is the feel of the warm air caressing all of your body. The experience of your first nude swim is amazing. And then when you come out of the water to be able to lie on the beach and dry off in the sun, without having a swimming costume on which remains damp and cold.

On the other hand maybe your genes or your up-bringing tell you that being naked is naughty or promiscuous. It isn't! In fact because their sexual bits are exposed naturists are more careful than most to behave with propriety in public. Physical contact is kept to a minimum. Sex in public is very much forbidden, and anyone performing sexual acts in public in a naturist resort will be asked to leave immediately and with no refund of whatever they may have paid. Men who are new to naturism often ask what if I got an erection. Actually it does not usually happen because being nude in itself is not a sexual activity. But if you did, just sit down for a few minutes or wrap you towel around your waist. Naturists always carry a towel with them to sit on, for obvious reasons.

Then again people, and especially the ladies, might say but I like dressing up. What about my wardrobe of clothes and the shopping trips I love? Naturists don't go naked all the time. In most European resorts it is usual to dress smartly for the evening meal. There are other times when you may wish to cover up, to avoid getting to much sun, or for health reasons, or because the weather is inclement.
