Skiers can choose between the Schladming area which provides plenty of pistes of all difficulties across four peaks, with links to further areas to explore beyond; or Ramsau, situated at the foot of the Dachstein mountains. Both are approximately 20 minutes from the hotel and daily transport will be provided. Ski equipment can be hired 5 minutes from the hotel.
The price includes dinner, bed and breakfast. A variety of activities, entertainment and excursions has been arranged. They are all optional and some will attract an additional charge. They include:
Horse and Sleigh experience (weather permitting); wine tasting; night tobogganing; movie night, quizzes and karaoke. One evening guests may opt for a group dinner in Schladming followed by Après Ski and traditional Austrian singing and dancing in a nightclub.
Away from skiing, the area is well set up for tourism and there is plenty to do. The villages of Ramsau and Kulm are close by and have supermarkets, shops and restaurants. At the top of the Dachstein mountain, accessed by cable car is an ice palace and a suspension bridge where you can walk across the edge of the mountain and look at spectacular views. With nothing beneath your feet but the open metal structure and thousands of feet drop beneath, however safe it is, it is not for the faint hearted. Schladming is a lovely town to explore with old streets, restaurants and shops and plenty of entertainment.
